The following was sent by Janeen Smith, Enoch's great granddaughter:

"Enoch met Pauline while she was teaching school in Fraser, Idaho.  Pauline obtained her teaching job through her friendship of the Dickerson's.  Enoch met her while he was passing through on a hunting trip (he loved hunting and fishing).  Enoch had seen her before standing in the doorway of the schoolhouse.  He always said that she was a "vision standing there".  Pauline always answered his description with "shut up Enoch".  They were married in 1901 when she was 21 and he was 32 years old.  Both of Enoch's brothers, Frank and Warren homesteaded a short distance "up the road on a knob".  In 1915 they sold their property and moved to Leland to farm.  The family later moved to Lewiston, Idaho in 1943."  Their three children (photo) were:

He attended school at the Johnstone school at Fraser, where he attended the OK school for one term before moving to Leland in 1914. There he attended the Leland school and Kendrick High School.

In the Leland area, he was known as "Speed Roberts" for his love of racing along the surrounding country roads leaving a trail of dust behind his old Model T.

He had his own truck and was offered a job trucking on the construction of the Lewiston airport. He owned and operated Lyle Harrison Trucking until his retirement in 1973.

His wife preceded him in death in 1984.

He loved hunting and fishing trips with his family and after his retirement spent many quiet moments along the banks of the Clearwater and Snake rivers catching steelhead and bass for his family.

He finally began to lose sight due to macular degeneration and after he fell in the river a couple of times, decided it was time to give up fishing, hunting and driving.

He had a close family who watched over him daily. Finally after a short stay in the hospital, he was transferred to Life Care Center, where he passed away.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Allen; a sister, Beryl Michael; a son-in-law, Keith Miller; and a son, Enoch Herbert Harrison.
