John Graham Sager and Anna Carney Listed below are the descendants of John Graham Sager and Anna "Ann" Carney.  John was the second child of Hannah Harrrison and Ferd Sager.
 


The descendants of John Graham Sager and Anna "Ann" Carney:


(15.1.2.1) Sarah Ann "Sally" Sager, born on 8 November 1841, in Kalamazoo County, Michigan and died on 25 March 1921.  She is buried in Carney-Gilson Cemetery, Climax Township, Michigan.  Sarah married (1st) (15.7.3) Samuel Harrison on 17 November 1861.  He was born in 1835, in Adams County, Indiana, and died in February 1865, and is buried near Richland Centre, Wisconsin.  Samuel was the son of (15.7) Columbia Ephraim Harrison and Kate Roe.  Samuel enlisted late in 1862 (Civil War) and was killed in an explosion of a river steamer in February 1865, while going home on furlough.  Nothing but his satchel was found (containing clothing, letters from family and photos (which were returned to his widow).  Their child was:

(15.1.2.1.1)/(15.7.3.1) Addie Harrison, born on 10 June 1863, and  died in 1941.  She is buried in Carney-Gilson Cemetery, in Climax Township, Kalamazoo County, Michigan.  Addie never married, and cared for her mother in later years, as well as her sister and family.  Addie owned and operated a grocery store.
Sarah Ann married (2nd) John Martin on 18 August 1866, (the son of Andrew Martin and Catherine).  John was married (1st) on 17 October 1858-9, in Adams County, Indiana to (15.7.6) Elizabeth Harrison (Sarah Ann and John Martin were sister/brother-in-law).  Comforting one another as Sam had died in an explosion and his sister, Elizabeth (John's wife) died during an epidemic.  Their daughter was:
(15.1.2.1.2) Jennie A. Martin, born on 1 June 1867, in Kalamazoo County, Michigan, and died in 1934.  She is buried in Carney-Gilson Cemetery.  Jennie married Adelbert Forbush on 9 April 1897,  he was born on 11 Mar 1850 and died on 12 May 1925, and is also buried in Carney-Gilson Cemetery.  The Forbush's operated a farm in Kalamazoo County, Michigan.  Their children were:
(15.1.2.1.2.1) Gardner Forbush, born on 29 March 1898 (operated a feed store in Kalamazoo, Michigan) and married Mildred Wheeler on 20 June 1925,  Mildred was born on 18 March 1904.


(15.1.2.1.2.2) Florence Forbush, born on 26 June 1907, and was a graduate of Western State Normal School in  Kalamazoo, Michigan.


(15.1.2.2) Amanda E. Sager, born on 14 September 1843, in Pavillion Township, Kalamazoo County, Michigan, and died in 1930 in Kalamazoo County, Michigan.  Amanda married Stephen Averill on 22 February 1871, in Kalamazoo County, Michigan.  Stephen was born on 2 January 1840, and died on 13 April 1922.   They are buried in Carney-Gilson Cemetery, Kalamazoo County, Michigan.  Amanda and Stephen had no children, and cared for all family needed assistance (especially financial).  Amanda provided most of  the information for the Harrison history and Sager Manuscript.  She kept in close contact with all of her cousins.

(15.1.2.3) Joseph Sager, born on 21 April 1845, in Pavillion Township, and died on 12 October 1922, in Three Rivers, Michigan, and is buried in Riverside Cemetery, Three Rivers, Michigan.  Joseph married Catherine Emergene Bartlett on 4 January 1872.  Catherine was born on 17 July 1850, in Gilboa, New York, and died on 24 February 1926, in Three Rivers, Michigan, and is also buried in Riverside Cemetery.  She was the daughter of George Bartlett and Harriett Bouton.   Joseph Sager accumulated a body of land at Flowerfield, Michigan and at middle life gave up active farming and devoted his time to supervising the operation.  His wife came with her parents to Flowerfield in 1852.  In 1897, the removed to Three Rivers, Michigan, building a home where they spent the remainder of their lives.  Mrs. Sager attended Kalamazoo College, later taught piano and was a member of Abiel Fellows Chapter D.A.R.  Like his sister, Amanda, they helped to finance many family needs.  Their children were:
(15.1.2.3.1) Cora Drucilla Sager, born on 29 December 1872, in Pavillion Township, Kalamazoo County, Michigan.  Cora married Charles Partridge Wheeler on 1 June 1899, in Kalamazoo County, Michigan.  Charles Partridge Wheeler was born on 21 August 1865 the son of  William E. Wheeler and Orissa Partridge Wheeler.  Cora graduated from Three Rivers High School attended Normal Conservatory of Music at Ypsilanti (piano and voice) and later taught piano.  Charles graduated from Michigan Academy and attended the University of  Michigan, was a  member of Alpha Delta Phi Fraternity and a Captain in Company K, of the  33rd  Michigan Volunteer Infantry, during the Spanish American War.  They had no children.


(15.1.2.3.2) Lynndon Bartlett Sager, born on 15 February 1888, in Pavillion Township, Kalamazoo County, Michigan.  He married Virginia Fulgham on 18 January 1926,  (Virginia was from Norfolk, Virginia) the daughter of Joseph Holloman Fulgham and Mary Josephine McAllister.  Virginia was born on 31 March 1898.  Lynndon graduated from Michigan Military Academy, attended the University of Michigan, and University of Chicago (in 1926, he was living in Tampa, Florida, working as an automobile salesman).


(15.1.2.4) Mark Sager, born on 8 October 1846, in Pavillion Township, Kalamazoo County, Michigan, and died on 3 March 1923, Kalamazoo County, Michigan.  He is buried in Carney-Gilson Cemetery, in Climax Township, Michigan.  Mark married Jennie "Jane" Mead on 20 November 1872, in Ypsilanti, Michigan.  Jennie was born on 6 January 1854, and died on 20 November 1906, in Kalamazoo County, Michigan, she is also buried in Carney-Gilson Cemetery.  Mark Sager spent a short time in Adams County, Indiana, and Harrisonville (Hinton), Iowa, however, spent most of his life raising his family and operating his farm in Kalamazoo County, Michigan.  Their children were:
(15.1.2.4.1) Ernest Sager, born on 15 October 1873, died on 4 March 1910, in Kalamazoo County, Michigan and is buried in Carney-Gilson Cemetery, (Ernest farmed/ he never married and is buried next to his parents).


(15.1.2.4.2) Blanche Sager, born on 25 July 1875, in Kalamazoo County, Michigan.  She married Clifford Lockwood on 16 September 1896, he was born on 15 March 1872.  This family settled in the Battle Creek, Michigan area.  Their children were:

(15.1.2.4.2.1) Gale Lockwood, born on 28 December 1898, and married William Beem on 11 May 1918 in Battle Creek, Michigan.


(15.1.2.4.2.2) Donald Lockwood, born on 2 December 1902, and married Gladys Green on 4 September 1926 in Battle Creek, Michigan.


(15.1.2.4.2.3) Lyle Lockwood, born on 27 February 1908, and died on June 1971, in Battle Creek, Calhoun County, Michigan.


(15.1.2.4.2.4) Lloyd Lockwood, born 30 November 1910 and died in November 1983, in Battle Creek, Calhoun County, Michigan.


(15.1.2.4.2.5) Mark Lockwood, born on 6 December 1913.


 (15.1.2.4.3) Lloyd Sager, born on 5 October 1876, in Kalamazoo County, Michigan (single in 1926).


 (15.1.2.4.4) Elmer Sager, born on 31 May 1878, in Kalamazoo County, Michigan, and died in February 1971, in Battle Creek, Calhoun County, Michigan.  He married Anna Downs, she was born on 3 January 1881.  Elmer was a Fire Chief and raised his family in the Battle Creek, Michigan area.  Their children were:

(15.1.2.4.4.2) Marian Sager, born on 17 September 1901, and died in March       1985, in Flint, Genesee County, Michigan.  She married Harry Myers in Lansing, Michigan.  Their child was:

(15.1.2.4.4.3) Wayne Sager, born on 10 September 1903.


(15.1.2.4.4.4) Richard Sager, born 3 July 1913.


(15.1.2.4.4.5) Gladys Sager, born 27 April 1892, in Kalamazoo County, Michigan.  She married Harry D. Jones on 23 May 1914, he was born in 1887.  Their child was:

(15.1.2.5) Eunice Jane Sager, born on 5 May 1848, in Pavillion Township, Kalamazoo County, Michigan, and died on 3 March 1923 in Kalamazoo County, Michigan.  She is buried in Carney-Gilson Cemetery, in Climax Township, Michigan.  She married William Mead on 17 January 1874, in Kalamazoo County, Michigan.  William was born on 7 June 1852 and died on 23 February 1908, and is also buried in Carson-Gilson Cemetery.  Their children were:

(15.1.2.4.5.1) Frances Mable Mead, born on 18 October 1874, in Kalamazoo County, Michigan, and died on 20 November 1920.  She is buried in Riverside Cemetery, Kalamazoo, Michigan.  She married Abraham J. De Young on 15 January 1902, Abraham was born on 12 December 1878. This couple lived in Kalamazoo, Michigan and Abraham worked as a foreman with Upjohn Company in Kalamazoo, Michigan.  There children were:
(15.1.2.4.5.1.1) Marian DeYoung, born on 12 April 1905 (graduated from Kalamazoo College in 1927, and was a teacher).

(15.1.2.4.5.2) Hugh Sager Mead  born on 15 December 1876, and married Lucille Elliott on 12 January 1916.  She was born on 8 December 1887.  Hugh graduated from the University of Chicago, had 16 years of civil service in the Philippines; was a member of the U.S. Educational Commission to Peru, South America for 2 years; a Professor of Foreign Trade at the University of Richmond for 3 years; and also served in the Spanish American War and in the Ordinance Department during World War I (he also helped with the Sager Manuscript).  Their child was:
(15.1.2.4.5.2.1) Eunice Jane Mead, born 28 January 1917.

(15.1.2.4.5.3) Walter Thomas Mead, born on 19 March 1879, and married Annette Van Holder on 6 April 1910.  She was born on 6 April 1883 in Kalamazoo, Michigan.  Walter graduated from the University of Chicago in 1902, with a Bachelor of Arts Degree. He was an Assistant Valuation Engineer, with the Illinois Central Railroad Company, a member of the American Railway Engineering Association and also a member of the Masonic Order. (he also helped with the Sager Manuscript).  Their child was:

 (15.1.2.4.5.3.1) Marjorie Mead, born on 16 February 1912.

 (15.1.2.4.5.4) Florence Mead, born 24 January 1887, and died 23 January 1911.  She is buried in Carney-Gilson Cemetery, Climax Township, Michigan.


(15.1.2.6) Walter Harrison Sager, born October 1850, in Pavillion Township, Kalamazoo County, Michigan.  Walter went with a group of cousins to California when he was about 17, and the family lost complete contact with him. Others who went along stayed in contact with Walter and folks back in Michigan.

(15.1.2.7) John Graham Sager II, born on 4 May 1852, in Pavillion Township, Kalamazoo County, Michigan, and died on 29 August 1926 and is buried in Mountain View Cemetery, in Oakland, California.  He married Amanda Struble on 25 April 1875, in Pavillion Township.  She was born on 11 March 1854, in Sterling, New York, and died on 29 October 1920, and is also buried in Mountain View Cemetery.  John Graham Sager II was a bit of a wanderer making his way to many of the family settlements including Iowa, Minnesota, and California.  Their children were:
(15.1.2.7.1) Elfa Sager, born on 19 January 1877, in Climax Township, Kalamazoo County, Michigan.  She married, had no children, and lived in Northern California.


(15.1.2.7.2) Orfa Sager, born on 19 January 1877, in Climax Township, Kalamazoo County, Michigan married, had no children, and lived in Northern California.


(15.1.2.7.3) Stephen Sager, born on 15 January 1880, in Pavillion Township, Kalamazoo County, Michigan, and died by 1926.  Married, no children and lived in Northern California.


(15.1.2.7.4) Harry Sager, born on 18 April 1890, in Minneapolis, Minnesota and died in May
1967, in Morro Bay, San Luis County, California.  He married Emma M. Holland on 15 July 1911, in Calwood, Missouri.  She was born on 3 April 1890 and died in December 1986, in Fresno, California.  Harry and his family lived 9 miles north of Fresno, California in 1926, where he was a milkman and a rancher.  Their children were:
(15.1.2.7.4.1) Maryruth Jeanette Sager, born on 1 September 1912, in Oakland, California.


(15.1.2.7.4.2) Dorothy Florence Sager,  born on 20 October 1914, in Oakland, California.


(15.1.2.7.4.3) Eloise Laurine Sager, born on 17 February 1916, in Scotia, California.


(15.1.2.7.4.4) Helen Eileen Sager, born on 21 January 1919, in Oakland, California.


(15.1.2.7.4.5) Virginia Lee Sager, born on 29 April 1922, in Fresno, California.


(15.1.2.7.4.6) Sara Jane Sager, born on 15 April 1924,  in Fresno, California.


(15.1.2.8) Elmer Sager, born on 24 January 1857 in Pavillion Township and died on 24 March 1864, in Pavillion Township, and is buried in Carney-Gilson Cemetery.  Elmer died age 7, he was killed by sleigh upsetting and a log rolled on him.

(15.1.2.9) Ellen Sager, born 27 March 1859, in Pavillion Township and died in 1939 in Kalamazoo County, Michigan and is buried in Carney-Gilson Cemetery.  She married John Cleland on 17 June 1891,  he died in December 1923 and is buried in Otsego, Michigan. Ellen lived her remaining years in Scotts, Michigan.

(15.1.2.10) Nelson Sager, born on 17 June 1862, in Pavillion Township, and married Martha Cloy.  This family went to California and engaged in the timber business, and remained in the San Francisco area.  Their child was:
(15.1.2.10.1) Clay Sager, born on 23 December 1891, in Kalamazoo County, Michigan and died in December 1971, in San Francisco, San Francisco County, California.

(15.1.2.11) Hannah Rachel Sager, born and died in 1864. She is buried in Carney-Gilson Cemetery in an unmarked grave.  This infant only lived two days.
