My darling Baby:

While I was taking my rest Thursday after, I listened to the roaring of the airplane, as it passed over Meridian, which I knew you were on winding your way back to New York. It brought to my mind a patent medicine that was advertised when I was a young man, called the Elixir of Life, and I said to myself, "Your visit brought Elixir of Life to me".  As I would look into your twinkling eyes and that happy smiling countenance, I decided for myself, that was all the medicine that I needed; and with the constant care that you and your mother showered me with, I now feel like years of yore.  As I am now stepping around with the spirit of youth in my mind, and my body responding to my every thought, I feel that your presence here did the trick.

Of course, Marx's trip also added much to helping me on my way. Your mother's every attention to me, really at times, is embarrassing, as she really caters to me and my way of thinking far beyond my needs. As I look back over the years, your mother and I have had something in life that money cannot buy; that is happiness---and my I add, you have brought much of that to us since the day of your birth.  I only hope that this happiness will continue throughout the many years ahead, with continued love and happiness for our entire family.

With love to the Kormans, and a big kiss for you, my baby, I am, as always,

Your devoted Father.
