BERTHA A. CONN

Thanks to Marilyn Shelley for providing Conn family information.

George Conn, son of Lorenzo Conn and Margaret R. Dye was born in Hancock County, Illinois, probably Fountain Green Township, in 1877.  In census records he is found as George M. Conn and George D. Conn.

He married Bertha Ann Henry on October 12, 1903.  She was born in Illinois, the daughter of Urias and Elizabeth Henry.

As did a large number of Hancock County residents, George and Bertha spent some years in Missouri; in 1920 they were residents of Adair County, Missouri.  In 1921 when Frank Conn died, Henry was said to be living in Kirksville.  By 1930 they had returned to Illinois and were in Blandinsville, McDonough County.

George and Bertha lost two children in infancy, both born and died before April 15, 1910, burial location/s undetermined.

Bertha died October 6, 1932, at Blandinsville; George survived her by over thirty years, died in 1964.  They are buried at Majorville Cemetery.
