He was called Eck. I have some letters that he wrote in 1956 he s aid his
wife was the daughter of
Thomas McKinnen and her mother was Victoria Ross. He said "I remember
going one time with mother
to your place and sta ying all night and we went the next day to a
Primitive Baptist Association at Knob
Fork, that we crossed Brier Patch Mountains and Epheriam Boyer offered t o
keep the people if they
would have the association at Knob Fork and he was fixed to keep all that
would stay with him over
night" he remembered his mo ther gave Mastin Brewer the old family bible
that had all the names of her
p eople in it. Pilgrim Parks had given the bible to her. Eck was 79 when
he w rote this letter.

Fielding G. BREWER [Parents] was born about 1840 in Grayson Co., Virginia, USA. He died 10 Feb 1862 in Ft. Donaldson, TN. Fielding married Polly Jane Mollie HASH on 17 Feb 1859 in Ashe Co., NC.

found Jane Brewer 43, Benjamin
19, James E. 14, Mar y E. 12, Greenberry 10, Fielden 8, Verdigan 2.
Fielding was wounded in action and
declared missing in action at Fort Donaldson TN, on the 10 Feb 1862 while
serving with Co. I, 51st VA,
Inf. and probably died of his wounds.

Polly Jane Mollie HASH was born about 1827 in Virginia. She died before 1927. Polly married Fielding G. BREWER on 17 Feb 1859 in Ashe Co., NC.
