Shortly after her marriage, Ruth went to the hotel where she and her husband were to spend some time. All signed in and up to her room. Not long after she either jumped or was pushed out the window of her 19th floor room. She landed on the canopy at the 1st floor level. Her remains were brought back to Mankato, Minnesota. There she was buried in the cemetery along side her sister, Emma and Sam Sheppard.
Death Certificate states that all the bones in her body were broken.
After all this Iva Mason Banker died and her body cremated. Kept for years in the closet of Florence in Chicago, Illinois. Florence brought the urn with Iva's remains in and spread them over the three graves of Sam, Emma and Ruth. MDB
