This family line is entwined with my line through the years. I have found a few places where the two meet through marriage. One report shows that this "Dutch" lineage added the "C" in their surname so as to "tell them apart from them "damn German" Banker People. To simplify things even more, once they came to America, some dropped the "C". Some were told at Ellis Island that you spell your name the way you say it. Thus many lines, Benker, Bunker, and Bancker spelled their name "Banker" Get a couple of bottles of Booze and have fun with the search. MDB
