The

Upper Mauch Chunk Cemetery

In February of 2001 this cemetery website came online, the first of the “Cemeteries of Carbon Co.” and the first entry on what would become the Carbon County History and Genealogy website. Since that time, I’ve worked on making the original record more complete and adding genealogical information to the record.  Finally, the updated version of the cemetery record is now online.

Many thanks to:

The Mauch Chunk Cemetery Association for the original records.

Charles F. Seng for his “19th Century Burials in Mauch Chunk Cemetery”.

The Dimmick Memorial Library for its collection on local history and its wonderful staff!

Michelle Jante Hoover and Jean & Rick Yandrick for help in getting this all started back in 2001!

Keith Bellhorn for his great photos of the chapel.
