HOW TO DOWNLOAD BOGALUSA STORY TO YOUR COMPUTER
Bogalusa Story by C. W. Goodyear (copyrighted 1950).

You can make a copy for yourself, but it can not be duplicated for sale as it is still copyrighted.

Note: To download a file (web page,  images, etc.), right click on the filename and then left click on "Save Target As ..." then find the folders that you created and put the file in the corresponding directories.

Create these 3 folders (aka, directories) on your computer:

You 1st create a folder (aka, directory) on your computer called BogalusaStory, 2nd inside that a folder (aka, directory), create a a folder (aka, directory) called images, 3rd inside that a folder (aka, directory), create a a folder (aka, directory) called jpg-200dpi.

or ...

BogalusaStory (Put the filename BogalusaStory-with-photos.html in it, see steps below.)

images (Put the 100 dpi images in it, see steps below.)

jpg-200dpi (Put 200dpi images in it, see steps below.)

After creating the 3 directories, follow these 3 steps:

1.) Put the filename BogalusaStory-with-photos.html in the folder (aka, directory) called BogalusaStory by right clicking on it and then left click on "Save Target As ...": BogalusaStory-with-photos.html

2.) Next, download all the 100 dpi images (.jpg format) from and ignore all files that don't end with the .jpg file extension (ignore files that end with .gif or .lit or .html, etc.):

http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~mcclendon/Bogalusa/Bogalusa%20Story/images/ and put into a folder (aka, directory) called images. Additionally, ignore the other folders for now.

3.) Next, download all the 200 dpi images from and ignore the .html file and the thumbnails directory:

http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~mcclendon/Bogalusa/Bogalusa%20Story/images/jpg-200dpi/ and put into a directory called jpg-200dpi

After copying all the files (the web page plus the 100 dpi & 200 dpi images) to your hard drive on your computer, you should be able to open the web page called BogalusaStory-with-photos.html and then when you click on images (100 dpi images) on the web page, a new browser window should open showing you the larger 200 dpi image.

You may want to burn it to a CD or DVD.

DVD: all will fit on a DVD-R disc, but not on a CD-R disc.

After "burning" the DVD-R, you should be able to open the web page called BogalusaStory-with-photos.html that your saved on your computer and then when you click on images (100 dpi images) on the web page, a new browser window should open showing you the larger 200 dpi image.

CD: There is not enough room to copy all the data to the CD-R disc, so don't copy the images in Step #3 to the CD-R.

After "burning" the CD-R, you should be able to open the web page called BogalusaStory-with-photos.html that your saved on your computer and then when you click on images (100 dpi images) on the web page, a new browser window should open NOT showing you the larger 200 dpi image since they were not copied to the CD-R because there is not enough space on the CD-R.
