I have been researching the Countiss family for 9 years and have accumulated family data from a wide
variety of sources in Maryland, Delaware, Virginia, Tennessee and Oklahoma. If I have any data
relating to your family line, I will send it to you. Also, please check the list of
researchers for possible connections.
The family is first found in the USA in Philadelphia in 1684/1690. Then, by the early 1700s on the
Eastern Shore of Maryland in Queen Anne's County -- James Countiss and his wife, Mary Greene. Descendants are located in Virginia, Tennessee, Mississippi, Alabama, Oklahoma, California, Texas, New Jersey, Kentucky, Minnesota, South Dakota, North Dakota, Washington, Montana and Canada.
