Sabbath Serices at the Presbyterian Church in Spring Place were unusually interesting and impressive. Rev. Jones preached to a large and attractive audience in his usual felicitious style. Col. James A. McKamy was ordained Elder and sacrament administered to a goodly number of communicants.

Robert McKamey#1147 10 Dec 1839 Knoxville Register Notice: By virtue of an order of sale issued from the Circuit Court of Anderson County, and to me directed, I will expose to public sale at the Court House in Clinton, on Monday, the 3rd day of February next, all the right, title, interest, claim and demand that Elizabeth Horton and Rebecca Horton has in and to a certain tract or parcel of land in Anderson County, in District No. 6, containing 20 acres, more or less, adjoining the lands of George Moore and others, being the place whereon said Elizabeth and Rebecca Horton now lives, no the north side of Clinch River. Also, Elizabeth Horton's undivided interest of, in and to 80 acres, more or less, in District No. 5, adjoining the lands of John Cross and the heirs of Andrew Stewart, dec'd, on the south side of Clinch River, to satisfy a judgement and cost that Robert McKamey recovered against said Elizabeth and Rebecca Horton, before Richard Andrews, Esq. unless previously satisfied.
