Descendants of Lawrence WATSON

This is the Descendants of Lawrence Watson. Lawrence was born in Ireland in 1815. We don't know how he got to the USA. His parents were Henry Watson and Mary (Source: IGI) He married Bridget Ready who also came from Ireland in Roxbury, Suffolk, Massachusetts, USA on 15th May 1865. Bridget's Parents were Daniel Ready and Bridget (Source: IGI). Their son Henry Barnett Watson was born on 13th July 1864 in Roxbury, Ml, USA. Henry Barnett Watson came to Australia in the mid 1880's. He married Mary Jane Mulloy, daughter of Patrick Mulloy and Margaret Gormly and started a family here. They had 8 children, Francis Barnett, Henry Barnett, Charles Barnett,Vera, Lillian, Sidney James, Isabella Edith and Rose Mabel. John Best spoke to Mrs. Mahon of Tullamore, NSW in 1988 (she was 89 at that time) and she said Henry Barnett Watson was a tall, thin man with a pleasant accent. He worked in the Magnesite mines at Fifield. Fifield had a population of 3000 at that stage. The Condobolin newspaper 'The Lachlander' reported on 27th November 1912, "At Fifield last week Mr. H. Watson's cottage was totally destroyed by fire. Nothing was saved and some of the family had narrow escapes, Mr. Watson being away at the time of the fire,"
Henry Barnett Watson was to disappear later and was never heard of again.
