Hi Mr. Mcnair, I found your website about the McNairs. My husband is a McNair. descendent. His name is Cecil Verl Rogers and my name is Lily Muriel Donathan Rogers.My husband's grandmother was Ida Jane Mcnair and she married William Francis Rogers. Ida jane was the daughter of James Claiborn and Harriet Manes McNair.William Frances and Ida Jane McNair Rogers had 6 children 5 girls and 1 son . The son was William Joseph Rogers. He was my husbands father.The girls were Nettie Maud , Mabel Alice , Martha Harriet[Matt] Ida Inez, and Dora{Dude] William Joseph Married Mary Rebecca Bray on June 15, 1915 in St Joe Arkansaw,Searcy county They had 13 children. My husband was born Dec 15,1932 at St Joe Arkansaw Searcy county. We married on May 10th, 1951 in Graham Texas . We have 5 children 3 sons and 2 daughters 17 grandchildren 5 step grandchilren, 3 great grandsons all born in 2004and 3 step great grandchildren. There is a book called a Reminiscent history of the Ozark Region that has on page 297 a story about James Claiborn and Harriet Manes .I think it was orignally published in about 1890 It has a lot of other families in it. It has about Mary Scheretz Mcnair.also .You may know about it. anyway If you want any more information about Ida Jane McNair and William Frances Rogers Family I have some of it . My husband's brother' s wife has a sister who married a Henley a descendent of Martha Deliah Mcnair and B.F. Henley. My husband's sister once said that she was related to everyone in Searcy County Arkansaw. His family moved to Rogers Arkansaw when he was about 12. They have a McNair cemetery at St Joe Arkansaw. I have never been there ,but hope to visit if we get to go back there. That is where James Claiborn and Harriet are buried . My husband's Rogers family are all buried in the Osborne Cemetery at St Joe Arkansaw. WE live in Lubbock, Texas . There were 13 children in My husbands family They were all born at Saint Joe Arkansaw ,Searcy county.The oldest name was1. Calvin Lafatte. He died as an infant . He is buried there at Saint Joe at the Osborne Cemetery. Then 2. Ida Menerva . She is still living She is about 87 years old and lives in Amarillo ,Texas Then 3. Irving Dale died at age 2 with whooping cough. He is also buried there at Saint Joe.4.William Frances the second, named for his grandfather Rogers. He is still living and lives in Wyona Oklahoma.5.Thora Glee is deceased. She lived in Rogers Arkansaw. She married a Robert [Bob] Barnes. They are both buried in a little Church Cemetery Near Rogers Arkansaw He was from there also and he taught school at Saint Joe. 6. Jack Lester died at age 17. He is buried at Saint Joe &.7.June Blanche is also deceased and lived at Lowell,Arkansaw She married a Gene Corley and he is deceased. They are both buried in that little church Cemetery near Rogers I believe it was Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and Cemetery.8 Oris Jada is still living and lives in Denton Texas.He was a school teacher there in Denton untill he retired.9 Lee Quenton is deceased . His last residence was Golden Colorado. He was creamated.10.My husband Cecil Verl is still living and we live in Lubbock, Texas.11Delwin Radford died at age 2 Buried at Saint Jo..12 Janice Ann died at age 3 months. She is buried at Saint Joe13. Mary Jo is deceased . She died at age 21 and is buried in Colonie New York. Theese are the children of my husbands parents.William Joseph Rogers and Mary Rebecca Bray Rogers. I can send you dates and other information later. My husband 's brother in law Bob Barnes and another family member complied The William Francis Rogers Family in 1995 . It needs to be updated.
