These are my great-great grandparents, Frank Edward Shult and Hettie Belle Rexroat. This picture was taken in 1940 in Canton, Illinois.
Hettie at this time spent nearly all of her time in a wheelchair, so it must have been difficult for her to stand for this picture.
The picture was attached to a one cent postcard that my grandfather, Carroll, sent. A portion of the postcard shows at left.
This picture was sent to me by my cousin, Kathy Carter, who
recently came across it in her research. The back of the photo is
labeled in pencil with their names and wedding date (July 18,
1894).
This portrait of Hettie Belle Rexroat was taken around 1929.
This picture was taken around 1929. The back of the picture says "Kankakee, Illinois," which is where they lived at the time.
