In the fall of 2014, my uncle Thomas Cochran and my cousin Bruce Cochran worked hard to repair a number of broken Andrews tombstones in the Redding Cemetery, Sumner, Maine.

The process began with a discussion with the town to ensure they had permission to repair the stones. Securing permission, they first dug out and leveled the tombstone bases. Then, after cleaning the stones and using a special stone epoxy, they glued and braced the stones for curing. After several days, the stones' wrappings were removed.

It's so exciting to see these stones of our ancestors repaired and proudly standing tall again!
