My name is Michael Mennen. I have been researching my family history for, well a number of years. This research includes all branches of my family tree, some more successfully than others. I have divided this site into six sections, each section follows one of the main family lines. Within these sections, research is again branched (and branched again). Below is a list of the main branches and listed are the sub branch names in each section:

MORRISSEY FAMILY

A Passage Through Time On the weekend of the 29th and 30th of November 2003, the descendants of James Morrissey and Catherine O'Donnell celebrated the 150 year anniversary of the family's arrival in Australia.

Thankyou to all who contributed to making this weekend such a great success! With the help of so many people we were able to gather enough information to produce a published family history book with over 300 pages of information, including many donated family photographs.

The Book contains the results of many years of research by several people into the genealogical origins of a group of families that have all descended from two people, James Morrissey and Catherine ODonnell. Both were natives of Limerick, Ireland, who migrated to Australia in 1853.

The focus of this genealogy is on James, Catherine and their eleven children. It also endeavours to record all of their descendants to the current day.

These pages also include information not directly related to the genealogy of James and Catherine but give background and have significance and relevance towards portraying a more comprehensive history.

HAYES FAMILY

Currently I am writing a book on the Hayes family, with the help of many others. This book is nearing completion, so any information including family photos etc would be greatfully appreciated.

I'm not sure which line will be next, but I will soon be assembling information on another line of my family to make a start on the next book, so please if you are related to any of my lines please let me know if you have information, photographs, documents etc, which you feel might be of value to a family history book.
