No, this isn't Maggie singing (though I believe she did make some recordings in her later life) -- this is soprano Sylvie Braitman singing a song at the San Francisco Music From The Gold Rush concert on Oct. 4, 1998. Maggie debuted the song, however. It was written by German immigrant Charles (formerly Carl) Schultz in 1873 as part of his musical revue called "Aladdin." Maggie appears on the cover of the sheet music. (NOTE: This is a huge (1200 x 1604 pixels) image and will take a long time to download.) Links are provided by the 19th-Century California Sheet Music Project and Mary Kay Duggan, project researcher. (This site includes actual scans of the sheet music, not just the covers.)
