Welcome to Ancestral Footpints In The Snow! This site is dedicated to the research I have done over the years while searching for my family roots. Most of my ancestors lived in Southeastern and South Central Pennsylvania so most of the family information contained here relates to that area of the country. The Online Database The link below leads to my online genealogy database, primarily from the Chester County area. Wherever possible I have included the sources of my information. If there is no source listed, it means that I either never had a good source for the info or that over the years I have misplaced the source info. Use any such undocumented information at your own risk. All that being said, feel free to explore and, by all means, enjoy the hunt! WorldConnect Database of Mary McIndoe Primary Surnames Though there are probably hundreds of different surnames in my database, there are a handful that I am either actively researching or about which I have a large amount of information. As time goes on, I will be setting up separate pages for each of these surnames. As these pages are added, the names listed below will become active links to pages concerning these families. Bratton, Brinton, Gregg, Hiester, McCune, Moore, Nevin, Rankin, Reynolds, Rothrock Burning Question Department This is my section for dead end ancestors, people I've been stuck on for a long time. If you've seen any of these folks in your own research, PLEASE tell me what you've found!
Other Projects Besides working on my own family research, for the past several years, I have also been involved with the PA GenWeb Project as coordinator for the Chester County and Delaware County sites. Since these areas have been so important to me in my own research, it has been a real pleasure to be involved with making more information about these areas available. Please drop in and take a look! Chester County Genealogy Delaware County Genealogy I also manage a related mailing list for researchers interested in the families of each of these areas. Information about the mailing lists is available on each site. Some of the research I have done on my family lines is contained on my research site for specific families, Southern PA Research, so you may want to take a look there as well. |
