In the name of
God, amen. I Christian Keller, of the township of East Cocalico,
the the County of Lancaster and State of Pennsylvania, being somewhat advanced
in years, but of sound disposing mind, memory and understanding, praised
be God, for the same, do make and publish this my last Will and Testament
in manner and form as follows to wit:
Imprimis, I
order and direct that all my just debts if any at the time of my decease
and funeral expenses, shall be paid out of my estate as soon as conveniently
can be done after my decease. Item
My will is and I do order and direct that all my property real personal
and mixed, whatsoever and whereas, the same may be I order and direct my
here in after named, Executors, or the survivors or survivor of them, to
sell the same at Public Sale for the best price that can be gotten for
the same. And in order to effect this my intention, I do by hereby
vest my said Executors full power and authority to give good and lawful
deed or deeds to the purchases, or purchasers of all my Real Estate, whatever
the same may be situated as aforesaid and the moneys arising out of the
sale of my whole estate as aforesaid, and after all debts and expenses,
as aforesaid being paid and satisfied including the expenses for settling
up my estate. The balance remaining then. I order and direct
to be divided into eight equal shares, share and share alike which I give
and bequeath unto my son Samuel, to my daughter Salinda, intermarried with
Benjamin Wenrich, to my daughter Mary, intermarried with Henry Matz, to
my daughter Catharine, intermarried with Jefferson Flory, to my daughter
Rebecca intermarried with Israel Sensenig, to my daughter Eliza intermarried
with Emanuel R Stark, to my daughter Anna intermarried with Daniel Graeff
and to my daughter Emma intermarried with John Wenger and to their Heirs
and Assigns share and share alike. All the charges made by me in
my family book as well as all notes, Bonds, or any other indebtedness to
me claim or claims, that I may have against any one of my said children
at the time of my decease; shall be deducted from the share coming to any
one of them. Because it is my wish and desire that the distribution
of my estate to and amongst my children shall be made right and equal.
But I do hereby order and direct that the share which is coming to my daughter
Salinda, wife of Benjamin Wenrich, as aforesaid, shall be invested in Real
Estate security by my herein after named Executors or survivors or survivor
of them during her lifetime and the yearly interest at the rate of five
per cent per annum, shall be paid to my said daughter Salinda on the first
day of April in each and every year, during her said lifetime. And
I do further order and direct that in case yearly interest of said share
coming to my said daughter Salinda, as aforesaid, should at anytime prove
insufficient to sustain and support my said daughter Salinda, in case of
sickness and other contingencies which might or could happen to her misfortune
as aforesaid, in such and event she may take and use the principal sum,
and apply the same towards her sustenance and support as aforesaid.
And after the decease of my said daughter Salinda, her share or whatever
amount is then yet remaining with the interest that may have accrued thereon,
shall be paid to the issue of my said daughter Salinda share and share
alike. And lastly, I do hereby make ordain and appoint my son Samuel
Keller and my two sons-in-law, Emanuel R Stark and Daniel Graeff to be
the Executors of this my last will and testament reposing full confidence
in their integrity to perform the trusts thus committed to them.
And I do hereby revoke annul and make void all former wills by me at any
time here to fore made and ratifying and confirming this and no other to
be my last will and testament. In witness where of I have hereunto
set my hand and seal this Twenty Fifth day of December, Anno Domini, One
Thousand Eight Hundred and Eighty-Six. Christian Keller
