John Christy, dec'd  In the name of God amen  I John Christy of the Borough of Lancaster in the County of Lancaster Yeoman being in good bodily health and of sound mind memory and understanding thanks be humbly offered to the Lord for the same and all other his mercies do therefore think proper to make this my last Will and Testament in Manner following that is to say  First I bequeath my Body to the Earth and my soul to my Beloved Lord Jesus Christ who hath spilt his precious Blood for me and all poor sinners.  Secondly I bequeath to my beloved wife all the Cash which shall be in my dwelling house at the time of my decease she paying thereout all my Funeral Expenses.  Also I give to my said wife during her life the one third part of the Interest of all my bank bills after her decease the same shall return to my Heirs also she shall have all my Household goods so long as she lives and after her decease the one third part thereof shall go to her Heirs and the two other third parts shall go to my heirs excepting the clock and the corner cupboard which shall go to my heirs also my working Bench with the Vice and Horn with all the tools that belong thereto and them that  are in the little closet also my said wife shall have the House and lot so long she lives after her decease the same shall fall to my heirs.  Thirdly I give and bequeath to my two sons Henry and John my eighty acres of land on Conestogoe Creek joining Martin Groff in equal shares the may divide the same between them or purchase of them the other as they please they given my said wife yearly during life six bushels of wheat which they must deliver.  Fourthly I give to my three daughters Elizabeth Barbara and Elizabeth and to each of them the sum of one hundred and fifty pounds of the money which I have set on Interest the rest that I have in Bonds and Notes I give to my said five children in equal shares and I wish from my Heart they may divide they same in peace also my wife is that my clock shall remain in the house so long as my wife lives I give unto my grandson Abraham Christy my gun with powder and Powder horns that belong there to So have I and my beloved
former Wills by me made and declare this and no other to be my last Will and Testament  In Witness whereof I and my said wife have set our Hands and Seals hereunto this Seventh Day of December in the year of our Lord One Thousand Seven Hundred and Eighty-six.  John Christy (sealed)  Mary Christy (sealed)  Signed sealed published and declared by the said John Christy in the presence of us Peter Miller, Anthony Seyfert.  Lancaster County on the tenth day of May Anno Domini 1790 Before me the Subscriber personally appeared Peter Miller one of the subscribing Witnesses to the above and foregoing writing and upon his corporal oath according to Law did depose and say that he was present and saw and heard John Christy the testator therein named sign seal publish pronounce and declare the said above and foregoing writing as and for his last Will and Testament and that all the doing thereof he was of sound and well deposing mind memory and understanding to the Best of his Knowledge observation and belief and also that he saw Anthony Seyfert the other witness who since died sigh his name thereto at same time.  James Jacks, Reg'r  Be it remembered that on the tenth day of May Anno Domini 1790 the last will and Testament of John Christy late of the Borough of Lancaster yeoman deceased was proven in due form of Law and Letters Testamentary therein were granted to Anna Maria (the widow - Henry Christy and John Christy the executors therein named they having first been duly qualified will and duly to Administer the Estate of the said deceased and especially to Exhibit a true and perfect Inventory  thereof into the Registers Office at Lancaster within one Month from this date and to render a just and True account of their Administration on said Estate within one year or when thereto lawfully required Given under the seal of said office.                                                                              James Jacks Reg'r

Feb 4, 1791  At an Orphans Court held at Lancaster for the County of Lancaster on the fourth day of February Anno Domini 1791, before Michael Hubley, Adam Nees and David Watson, Esquires, Justices of the same Court.
 John Christy, dec'd  Anna Maria Christy, Henry Christy and John Christy executors of the last Will and Testament of John Christy late of the Borough of Lancaster, yeoman, deceased, produced to the court the account of their executorship on the estate of the said deceased duly passed before the Register whereby there appears a balance of  £1334..15..5 in Specie, and  £618 in Public Securities or new Loan Certificates, in the hands of the said executors.  Which account the Court on examination allows and approves of and directs that the said balance after deducting 12/ the expences of this Court, the remainder being £1334..3..5 in Specie and  £618 in Public Securities or New Loan Certificates, be paid and distributed agreeable to the directions of the last Will and Testament of the said deceased.  In manner following, to wit, To the said Anna Maria Christy the widow and relict of the said deceased yearly and every year during the term of her natural life the interest of  £206..0..0
