Ann Martin, dec'd In the name of God Amen
I Ann Martin of Rapho Township in the County of Lancaster and Province
of Pennsylvania being weak and sick but of good understanding and thank
God that I am able to dispose of my Estate which God hath bestowed on me
and my husband Martin Martin left me First I recommend my Soul to God Almighty
who gave it to me and my Body to the earth from whence the same was taken
to be buried in a Christian like manner and after my funeral expenses and
my just debts are paid I order and direct as follows to wit First my son
Jacob shall have the mare and the sorrel colt a cow and a heifer the two
Iron cloves which are in the house the waggon and the horse geers all which
said above mentioned articles my said son Jacob shall have and receive
extraordinary and my two daughters Barbara and Susanna shall have and divide
my wearing apparel equally between them and further they my said two daughters
shall have out of my whole estate one shilling sterling for their share
and no more And I do further order that if Nicholas Hull pays the sixteen
Pounds which he owes me and my daughter Barbara should become a widow then
she shall have ten pounds part thereof for her use and benefit but if she
should not be a widow then my two sons shall receive the said money in
equal shares and I do further order that my daughter Susanna's child who
lives with me to wit John shall have ten pounds for his share out of my
estate which money shall be placed at interest until he arrives at the
age of twenty-one years at which time he shall receive the interest with
the said principal sum of ten pounds for his share and no more and I do
further order that my whole estate not above disproved of whether in cash
bonds or notes shall be equally divided to and between my two sons Christian
and Jacob share and share alike including also the Book debts and I do
ordain constitute and appoint my friend John Herr and my son Jacob Martin
to be Executors of this my Last Will and Testament ratifying and declaring
this to Emy last will and testament and making null and void all wills
and testaments by me heretofore made in witness thereof I have hereunto
set me hand and seal this 20th day of October 1754.

Sebastian Keller Henry Lesher
Lancaster County as On the ninth day of September
Anno Domini 1785 Personally appeared Henry Lesher and on the fifth day
of October in the same year personally appeared Sebastian Keller the two
subscribing witnesses to the written will Before me the subscriber and
on their solemn affirmation Respectively did declare and say that they
were present and saw and heard Anna Martin the Testatrix therein mentioned
sign seal publish pronounce and declare the within writing as and for her
last will and testament and that at the doing thereof she was of sound
and well disposing mind memory and understanding to the best of their knowledge
observation and belief.

Be it remembered that on the ninth day of September
and the fifth day of October Anno Domini 1785 the last will and testament
of Ann Martin late of Rapho Township deceased written in the German language
was proved in due form of Law and Letters Testamentary therein were granted
to John Herr and Jacob Martin the executors therein named they having first
been duly qualified well and truly to administer the Estate of the said
deceased and especially to exhibit a true and perfect Inventory thereof
unto the Registers Office at Lancaster within one month from the date and
to render a just and true account of their administration or said estate
within one year or where thereunto Lawfully required given order the seal
