David Martin, dec'd In the Name
of God Amen. The twenty seventh day of December Anna 1775 I David
Martin Of Earl Township Lancaster County in the Province of Pennsylvania
being of good understanding do write my last will and Testament Viz
First it is my will that all my just debts shall be paid further it is
my will and for as much as all my children have received something as appears
by the receipts in my Book therefore each of them in the receipt will amount
to two hundred pounds in money or moneys worth and if it should out come
to as much then each of them shall abate thereof but if it should amount
to more then the remainder shall be equally divided and whereas my step
daughter Susanna remained with me until the time of her marriage therefore
she shall receive her share first out of what is outstanding so as the
same shall come in further I bequeath unto my eldest son Christian Martin
Five pounds in money which he has already he has already received of me
extraordinary for his second share and no more and my two sons David Martin
and George Martin shall be my Executors and I declare this to be my Last
Will and Testament.

Lancaster County On the fourth
day of December Anno Domini 1784 Before me the subscriber personally appeared
Henry Weaver and Christian Weaver the two subscribing witnesses to the
written will and on their solemn affirmation did declare and say that they
were present and saw and heard David Martin the Testator herein named sign
seal publish pronounce and declare the within writing as and for his last
will and Testament and that at the doing thereof he was of sound and well
disposing mind and memory and understanding in the best of their knowledge

Be it Remembered that on the fourth
day of December Anno Domini 1784 the last will and testament of David Martin
late of Earl Township deceased was proved in due form of Law and Letters
Testamentary therein were granted to David Martin and George Martin the
Executor therein named they having first been duly qualified well and truly
to administer the Estate of the said declared and especially to exhibit
a true and perfect Inventory thereof into the Registers Office at Lancaster
within one month from the date hereof to render a just and true account
of this administration or said Estate within one year or when there unto
Lawfully required Given under the seal of said office.
