We invite you to join our mailing list. We do not sell or share this list of
Middlebrook(s) cousins with anyone! Through the list we communicate
upcoming events, communicate family findings, and provide a network
of who is related to whom.
Send us an email note requesting to be added (you may do the same if, in
the future, you would like to have your name removed) and the name of
your ancestor whose birth date is nearest to 1755, if known.
Why 1755? We associate each person on the mailing with others of common
ancestry. Additionally most Association members believe that there are four
groups of Middlebrook(s) in the United States.
- One is the Fairfield, Connecticut descendents that moved into Vermont,
New York, New Jersey, Ohio and further across the Midwest as well as
other northeastern states.
- Second is the group predominately migrating from Caswell County to
and across the southern states. These Middlebrooks are believed to
have originated in Maryland.
- Third is the Garland group that is found originating in Virginia. This
group may tie into group 1 or 2, but this is not known at the moment
(another of the great mysteries of our family).
- Fourth is the black Middlebrooks group that may be from slave or
Caribbean descendants.
If you have a family member who does not have email access, drop
us a line; let us know their snail mail address and we will add them
to the announcement list.
Send a note to MFA-Membership along with your 1755ish ancestor if known.
