Fortville, Dec 19, - Pleasant Stewart age 78,
a farmer, died yesterday at his home south of Pendleton , following a six
months illness, The body was brought to the George McCarthy funeral home here
and later returned to the residence where friends are being received.
Funeral rites will be held Tuesday at 2 P.M.
at the Mt. Gilead E.U.B. church in charge of Rev. Raymond Myers. Burial will be
in West Grovelawn cemetery, Pendleton.
Surviving are Mrs. Margaret Stewart; six
daughters, Mrs. Joe Dennis, Anderson; Mrs. Howard Kuhn, Shelbyville; Mrs.
William Derrick, Greenfield; Mrs. Ernest Foust, Ingalls; and Mrs. Paul Louder,
of near Pendleton; three sons, Dan, Floyd and Frank, all of Anderson; a brother
Robert Stewart, Barbourville, Ky, 52 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Stewart moved to Madison county from Kentucky in 1910.

Mrs. Carol Bingham, Wayne, Mich.; his mother, Mrs. Lula Barnes Stewart, Union
City, Ind.; four sisters, Mrs. Bertha Stewart, Richville, Ind., Mrs. Anna Mae
Norton, Union City, Mrs. Emily Messer, Winchester, Ind., and Mrs. Victoria
Hibbard, DeWitt; a brother, Lee Stewart,
Union City, and six grandchildren.
Funeral services were
conducted Monday, Jan. 27 at the Hosman Baptist Church with the Rev. Charles
England and the Rev. Pat Robbins officiating.
Burial was in the Mills Cemetery at Four Mile.
Pallbearers were Clyde Woods, Charles J.
Dean, Floyd Gibson, Harry Earls, Wayne Walters,
Gabe Collett, Larry McGaffee, and Bill Patrick.

2000 in the Randolph Nursing Home. She was the daughter of the late Bertha and
G.C. Stewart. She was a member of the
First Assembly of God. She was united in marriage to Leo Norton, Who preceded
her in death.
Survivors include her daughter Shirley
Lennington and husband Larry of Winchester, IN ; one sister Mary Jarrett of
Lakeland, FL; three brothers Roy Dewayne Stewart and wife Dorothy of Hartford
City, In, Larry Stewart and wife Denna of Cannon, and Herbert Stewart and wife
Bev of Greenville, Ohio; two grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at the First
Assembly of God Church on Tuesday, Dec. 12, at 10:30 a.m. and Hampton Funeral on Dec. 13. Burial followed
in the Hampton Cemetery.

YEAGER, 72, Heidrick, passed away Thursday, August 10, 2000 at her home, She
was the daughter of the late General (GC) and Bertha Stewart born to them May
22, 1928 in Knox County, she was a cook for many years at Knox Central Hig
hSchool and was a member of the Locust Grove Baptist Church. On Jan 17, 1945,
she was united in marriage with Alford C. Yeager and to this union three
children were born.
Survivors include one
daughter, Jeanetta Irene Pennington and husband Jack of Cannon; one son Alford
C. Yeager Jr. and wife Charlotte of Bailey Switch; a daughter in law; three
brothers, Roy Duane Stewart and wife Dorothy of Hartford City, Ind., Larry
Stewart and wife Danna of Heidrick, Hubert Ray Stewart and wife Bev of
Greenville, Ohio; five grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends to
mourn her passing.
Funeral Services were
conducted in the Hampton Funeral Home on Saturday, August 12, 2000 at 2 p.m.
with the Rev. Earl Hammons and the Rev. Vernon Morris officiating, She was laid
to rest in the Trace Branch Cemetery at Heidrick. Hampton Funeral Home was in
