April 2008:
Last summer I put together a "book" of my Zittle information. However, I have yet to put on a binding and give a copy to the local historical societies. One more thing to add to my list.
Right now I have been working on my maternal Miller line. While I have them back to Lampeter-Strasburg in the early 1800's, I can'r find the connection to the Jacob Miller of 1700s that I am sure they are connected to. If anyone can help me out here, I would appreciate it.
Jan 2007:
I am working on some of my Maine family lines after having done some research at Belfast Free Library, Belfast, Maine over Thanksgiving. I am really itching to get back to my PA research, but am tying to keep myself focused on Maine while it is still fresh in my mind.
I also was able to obtain a copy of Newcomb Genealogy, Descendants of Andrew Newcomb, by Bethuel Merritt Newcomb, 1923, from Ebay. I have only ever seen this book in the reference section at said Belfast Library and have been looking for it for 6 years from other sources. If you are a New England Newcomb, this is the book to have.
Aug 2006:
My purpose in creating this site is to share information with others researching the same families. I know that I have a real advantage living in Lancaster County, PA, the area that many of my ancestors did. Having access to some of the original records is a treasure. While trying to research ancestors in New England, I realized how important it is having one person that is willing to share their research.
I also hope to meet and share information with my many cousins sharing the same interest in our past. Please feel free to email me.
My only request in your use of this information is that you will give me credit when citing or sharing your work. I have spent a lot of time and some money (but mostly time!) digging through books and documents on dusty shelves and boxes.
I am SO THANKFUL to the people at Lancaster County (PA) Courthouse, Lancaster County(PA) Library, Lancaster County (PA) Historical Society, and Lancaster (PA) Mennonite Historical Society.
Best wishes,
Tina L. Miller
