Lampeter Reformed Mennonite Cemetery

Reformed Mennonite Cemetery in the Village of Lampeter (Lampeter Reformed Mennonite Cemetery) LMHS

" The two earliest graves here are dated 1803, which was nine years before the Reformed Mennonite Church was organized. A brick meeting house adjoins the cemetery. The meeting house is now the West lampeter Township Building. Church services here were discontinued in the late 1930's. I was unable to state when the meeting house was built but Ellis & Evans mentions it in 1883. The Reformed Mennonite Bishop, Dr. Daniel Musser 1810-1877 lived in Lampeter, and may have been instrumental in the construction of the meeting house. I, Wilmer J. Eshleman, recorded the names from the tombstones in June 1976."
