Suddenly, on Monday, June 14, 2004 THOMAS WILLIAM HAGERTY, JR., 49, of Westminster. Beloved son of the
late Thomas W. Hagerty, Sr. and Elizabeth (nee List)
Higgins; loving brother of Bernard Hagerty, James
Hagerty, Michael Higgins and Regina Higgins; dear nephew of
Doris Anderson.
Throughout his life Mr. Hagerty was a civic-minded person. He served in the
U.S. Air Force. He was a retired federal employee, which included service with the U.S. Postal Service,
the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Coast Guard and he was a federal firefighter at Ft. Meade. He was a past member
of the Civil Air Patrol and the Lansdowne Volunteer Fire Department. He was a proud member of
Hesson-Snider Post 120 of the American Legion, Taneytown. After retiring from federal service, his
pursuits included locksmithing and metal detecting.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 P.M. Friday at SKILES FUNERAL HOME, 136 E. Baltimore Street, Taneytown.
Christian Wake service 8:45 P.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 A.M. Saturday, June 19 at
St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, 44 Frederick Street, Taneytown. Interment St. Joseph's Cemetery.
