Abraham R. Woodward , born 7/18/1836 in Morgan County, Indiana, was the son of Samuel S. and Abigail Shelley Woodward of Jefferson County, Tennessee, Hendricks-Morgan Counties, Indiana, and Keokuk-Hardin Counties, Iowa. He was grandson of William and Elizabeth Millikan Woodward.

Abigail Shelley (Shelly)
was the daughter of Nathan Shelley of North Carolina.

On April 17, 1859 in Hardin County, A. R. Woodward and Margaret Sundly were married by A.M. Mulford, J.P..

In the 1860 Providence Township, Hardin County census, on the same page as brother Samuel, are:
A. R. Woodworth, 24, farm laborer, born Indiana
M.O. (female), 23
J. (female), 6/12

1880 Census, Union Township, Hardin County, Iowa
Abraham R. Woodward, 43, born Indiana, parents born Tennessee
Margaret S., 43, Ohio, father born Virginia, mother born Ohio
Ettie O., 18, Iowa (married cousin
Walter D. Smith )
Flora L, 14, born Iowa
Lulu, 9, born Iowa

Apparently the Florence S. Woodward in the Iowa Quaker Meeting was his daughter as the birthdate matches with Flora.

In the 1895 Iowa State census in Union Township Abraham (58) and Margaret(57) live alone. Abraham's religion is "none", and Margaret is Congregational. A tight binding hides his occupation "...mery" may be creamery?
