Generation No. 1

1. ANDREW JACKSON8 WOODWARD (SAMUEL S.7, WILLIAM6, ABRAHAM5, WILLIAM4, RICHARD3, RICHARD2, EDWARD1) was born 12/03/1814 in Tennessee1, and died 2/06/1896 in Creighton, Knox County, Nebraska. He married MARY JANE FREE 7/28/1836 in Morgan County, Indiana2,3, daughter of UNKNOWN FREE. She was born 2/02/1816 in North Carolina4, and died 12/06/1873 in Oskaloosa, Iowa.

Notes for ANDREW JACKSON WOODWARD:
Andrew Jackson is named in Samuel Woodward's will in Hardin County, Iowa. Andrew & wife Mary and children through Julianna are listed at Richland MM in Iowa but Lucinda & Malinda are not listed. They are also not listed in the 1856 Iowa Cenus. However the death of Malinda and the name of Lucinda are listed under Andrew & Mary at Oskaloosa MM in Iowa, Ia Quakers, Vol V, page 192. The problem seems to be that someone transcribed the birthdates of Lucinda and Malinda as December 1853 when it was actually December 1858. Living in Mahaska County, Iowa in 1860 as Bud J. Woodward #1105 - son William F. is #1102. Louisa E., Sarah A., Mary J., and Eveline, are all listed as dairy maids. Lucinda and Melinda are twins, age 1. In Madison, Mahaska Iowa in 1880 gives parents born Tn.

Notes for WILMORE WOODWARD: Rose Schaer is doing a census of the Smith Cemetery in Scott Township (just outside Oskaloosa), Mahaska County, Iowa, and sent the Wilmore Woodward data. In the 1880 census the only Woodwards still there are Andrew Jackson and Mary Free Woodward and their son William F. Woodward. His wife Elizabeth is 42 and their last child was born about 1876 so Wilmore seems to fit as their son.

Notes for EVALINA S. WOODWARD: Not sure all these children belong to Charles Robinson - would guess that Andrew is son of William Hardesty and Orpheas on are children of Charles because of the gap in the children - although 1880 census gives them all named Robinson and all with father born Mo.
Notes for CHARLES C. ROBINSON: Miller in Sugar Creek, Poweshiek County, Iowa in 1880 - gives parents as fa Ky mo Va Almost has to be brother of Robert Robinson as same occupations and Charles named a son Robert
