John Shermack - I am a Morris from Canada.  I am currently trying to track down my
Great Grandfather.  I know that my grandfather was born Frances (Frank) Morris in
1978 in Sutton, Ontario, Canada and that his father was Samuel Morris and his mother was
Sarah Willouby) but the trail runs cold.  I have looked through your most excellent site but
haven't found any leads there - have you any suggestions as to where to head next?
Thanks! My e-mail is Valentyne52@ Hotmail

Sarah Bahr - I'm looking for history on my moms family.  Her surname is Morris.  She is
the youngest of seven.  Her brothers and sisters are Charles, Floyd, Judith, Sharon,Linda,
James, and then my mom Nancy.  I'm not sure the order of the siblings but those are their
names.  My moms dad's name was Bernard.  Her mom was Sarah but went by the name
Edna.  They lived in Ohio.  My mom was born in Mt.  Gilead, Ohio.  She married my dad
in 1975 and his name is Ricky Bahr.  Any help with family past would help.  Thank
you. Sarah Bahr
Brook Morris - The time frame I am stumped on is 1813 - 1890 Thomas Morris, wife
Fanny Learn 1816-1889.  Then how does he link with Thomas Morris Feb 1771, or
Robert Morris Jan 1734.  If in fact they even link at all.  Let me know what you
think. My grandmother has provided this info and swears it is correct.  I'm pulling
my hair since the May 3d Tornado in Oklahoma City trying to piece together what
info I have left.  Can you help me in validating this info?
Debbie Hostetler - The funeral home records for my mother-in-law said that her mother,
Mahala MORRIS, was married to Henry PATRICK.  It appears from the death
certificate (which isn't entirely accurate in other areas) that Henry PATRICK was from
TN and Mahala MORRIS was from KY.
Their daughter, Lela (or Linda) PATRICK was born in Boise, ID (back when
it was called Long Valley) in 1904, and married Perry CODY at some point, and died
giving birth to my husband, Patrick Bert.  At the time of the birth, it appears she was still
married to Perry CODY, although Phil's birth certificate lists his father as Conrad Bert
Hanson.  After Lela died, Conrad Hanson put Phil up for adoption, and his name became
Philip Henry Hostetler.  I hope I'm not confusing you!  Philip Hostetler
and Patrick Bert Hanson are the same person.
I hope you can help me to locate information on Mahala Morris. Thank you!
Debbie

Christopher Morris - I am researching the Morris family tree in South Wales, UK. I have
a detailed tree going back to 1806. Including a large American branch that all stemmed from
one Morris - Elizabeth. (She married Edwin Gilbert and emigrated in 1905/6).
My problem is to find more information about her grandfather HENRY MORRIS.
He was born in 1806 and described in the 1841census for the parish of Whitson
(Nr NEWPORT South Wales) as a carpenter. He married ANN, also born in 1806 but maiden
name unknown. Alas I have not discovered when they married but the certificate on the birth of
there first child HENRYwas in 1826. On the boy's birth certificate it states that his father originally
came from outside the county of Monmouthshire, but doesn't state where!
HENRY and ANN went on to have 8 children, all in the NEWPORT area. I'd
also like help in finding any connections with them.

Roberta Flittner - I am looking for the parents of John Morris b
2/8/1776 in VA. He married Mary Ray 17 May 1798 in Jefferson
Co., Ky. I think his brother was William Morris b ? m Sarah Crooks
1795 in Jefferson Co. Ky. John Morris, William Morris, the William
Ray family and the William Crooks family left Jefferson Co. Ky by
1800 and were in the Hamilton Co., Ohio area and eventually went
to Butler Co., and Indiana. The E-mail from Mac Blair caught my eye.
His William Morris b 1755 in VA and died 1837 in Ky is the right time
frame. William Ray and William Crooks were from Chester Co. Pa and
served in the Revolutionary War probably together. I keep thinking that
perhaps John Morris's father knew these people from serving in a war
with them. Any idea's would be appreciated. Roberta Flittner -

Sue Alden - I am seeking information on Benjamin Morris,
father of John A. Morris. John was born in Iowa in 1872,
died in Lincoln NE in 1911. John's death certificate says
Benjamin and his wife Emma Cornog, were from PA, but
they must have moved to Iowa. I do not have John's birth
certificate, so I am not sure if Emma Cornog is his actual
mother, since she was Benjamin's second wife. Thanks for
any information you may have. Also John's wife was Maud
Cressler, whose family were from Dewitt and Scott County.

Pat "Morris" Duckworth - I am trying to research my Morris surname
roots and am still hitting brick walls. I have information only back to my ggrandparents and don't have many dates or places but will give you what
I have and maybe you can make a connection for me. Here goes:

ggrandmother Margarete Ella (McGraw) Morris born in Woodville MS,
