Jim Morris- I am searching for additional information on my Great Great Grandfather, Peter
B. MORRIS
. He is listed in the 1850 census for Davidson County, TN. Born in 1800. Married Nancy Marlin 07 Feb 1842. in 1850, Peter and Nancy had children Sarah C. - born approx 1843, Mary E. - born about 1845, Francic C. -
born about 1847, Isaac T. - born 28 Jan 1848 (my Great Grandfather), and Alley - born about 1849. It is not known if they had other children. It is not know if Peter had a wife prior to Nancy. In 1850, Peter B. (believed to stand for Brady) was 50 and Nancy was 25. I believe that Peter B. MORRIS' brother might have been Isaac MORRIS, listed in the Davidson County, TN 1850 census as a 38 yr old married to Ann - age 40. Marriage records show an Isaac E. MORRIS marrying Elizabeth Ann Richardson 1 Oct 1846. I also believe that Peter B. MORRIS had at least one other bother, John MORRIS. There is only one John MORRIS in the 1850 Census for Davidson County, TN. That is a John H. MORRIS, age 35. If these are not brothers,
then they must be related in some other way because in each case, a man with these names witnessed various documented business transactions. I would like to find the parents of Peter B. MORRIS (and likely Isaac E. and
John H.) If anyone is researching this or any other MORRIS line in Davidson or Robertson County, TN, please email me at [email protected].
Donna Lane- I am looking for the parents of Fern Mae Morris, born on 23 July 1904 at Gould, Harmon Co., OK. She married Joseph Carter Allison, son of Joseph Hickman Allison and Ida Jane Geer, on 7 April 1928
Kelly Mitchell - I am researching my Family Tree. There is not much to go on. I have a
LENA (Magdalena) Miller married to a Morris. I have no history on the Morris/Morse family. Her parents were Leopold Miller and Anna Kletzel.
She was born in Leipzig Saskatchewan in 1906, and her parents eventually moved to Aberdeen South Dakota and her parents are buried in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetary. Her brother Frank died in Yankton South Dakota in January 1998 and in his obituary it stated that she was still living. I
was hoping to find any descendants of these families, and am willing to exchange information that I have. There are some descendant of Leopold
and Anna living in Canada. I am a descendant of Joseph Miller born in 1880. Thank you for your help.

noted in the 1900 NY census. The one child listed was Ernst (Sept 1881 Eng). Two of the other children are buried in the same grave as their
aunt in NY. Thank you for any help.

William is found in Refugio Co. TX where Inez divorces EDWARDS in April 1872, William was running and teaching in St. Mary's College/Institute.

Peggy Tebbetts - I am looking for information on my 5th gr grandmother: ABIGAIL MORRIS. She was born in 1749, possibly in NJ and married Joseph Headley in 1767. They had 12 children: Joseph, John, Morris, Nancy, Hannah, Samuel,
Eunice, Elias, Phoebe, Amos, Thomas, and Benjamin. Abigail died on 16 June 1835, in Trumbull Co. Ohio. I would appreciate any info on her parents and siblings. Peggy Tebbetts
Doris M. Hightower - I'm looking for Robert MORRIS. He married Sarah A. ARNOLD in Benton Co., TN on July 10, 1850. Robert never appears in a census before his marriage to Sarah so I don't know where or when he was born. Nor do they appear in any Benton Co., TN census.
Sarah A. ARNOLD was born in 1828 in Tennessee to Ephraim & Abigail Arnold.
Robert bought 100 acres of land from his father-in-law, Ephraim about 1851. But on Nov.31,1854, Robert MORRIS was listed as (T.R.J. MORRIS) sold the 100 acres to Z.A. Wilkins. There are other Morris families in Benton Co., TN at the same time but Robert or T.R.J. doesn't seem to connect to any of them.
Robert & Sarah disappeared, I can't find any further records on them after 1854.
Any help or suggestions would be wonderful, I'm really stumped as to what happened to this couple.
Doris M. Hightower

David Courville - I am looking for info on the morris family lived in ma. 1940's Walter I. morris married Leona b. Johnson . 16 children came of this marriage some of their names Robert l. Morris, Francis Morris, Harry Morris, Ricky Morris, Joan Morris casavant Leona died around 1944-45 a few months after giving birth to Joan. The children were sent to an orphanage exept the older ones they were sent on their own. Any way Robert L.Morris,my father mysteriously disappeared in the 1970's I cant locate any family (out of 16 siblings). They were rumored to be
around Va. or Md. area. Do you have any info on this morris family?
Donald R Clark - Elisha MORRIS was born between 1810 and 1820 in Belmont/Monroe Co. OH. He was married about 1837 to Nellie DILLON, whose family had moved from Green Co PA. Elisha died about 1845, and Nellie then married a Mr Capper and they were in Lawrence Co OH in 1850 with one Capper son, one Morris son(William L.), and three Morris daughters(Jane, Margaret, and Melissa?).
I suspect that Elisha was a son of the William Morris who was in Franklin Township of Monroe Co. OH, in 1830. The 1840 census was the only one Elisha appeared in as a head of household, but the others named in that area also appear in the 1850 census. Does anyone have any information on those Morris families as a group, or have any record of Elisha. I found his name in material abstracted from the local newspapers of the early 1840's and what court house records survived the 1860's fire. There was a law suit brought Vincent Dillon, the executor of the estate, to allow the sale of real estate, which named Elisha, his widow and the four children.

Brenda Renard - I am searching for my great-grandfather, William Morris born somewhere in the 1800's and died in the early 1900's. His middle name was possibly Franklin and he was probably from Tennessee or Arkansas....Not very specific, am I? I'm sorry but my information is very limited. He married Georgia Omelia (Amelia??) Reed in the late 1800's/early 1900's. They had the following children: Evy Franklin Morris, b. Jan 29, 1901 - d. Feb. 1987 (my Grandmother) George Leander Morris, b. Mar 5, 1905 - d. Jan. 1989. There were at least three other children (Lily, Mamie, and Louise) but I believe they had different fathers. The marriage to William was a third marriage for Georgia Reed. William Morris died when all the children were small. It looked as though Georgia would die soon too so all the children were placed in orphanages and were adopted by different families. Georgia did survive, but lost contact with the children until they were nearly grown. Any information you can give me would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a bunch! Brenda Renard

Helen Johnson - I am looking for any information about the following Morris family: Austin J. Morriss was born in Arkansas - probably Sevier County. He married 3 times, but only had children who lived from the first and
third wives - the first was Lucinda Jane Reed, the second Mary ? and the third Leanna Zeaner. He was born in 1820. He died in 1883 and is buried in Bosque County, TX, as is his third wife, Leanna. There is reason to believe that his father was Henry Morriss. Several census records show varied birth places for the father of Austin J. - England, Louisiana and Arkansas. There is reason to believe the wife of Henry was Marjorie (possibly Hogan), who is also listed as born in more than one place - Mississippi, Missouri, and Tennessee. Starting with my grandfather, Francis Marion, the Morriss name was spelled Morris, although he did used the Morriss spelling for some time after his second marriage. Some records use one of the spellings and others another. I actually have very few records beyond my immediate family.
