Haddenham Quaker History by Walter Rose
Cost: 8 pounds plus 1.50 for postage & packing
The story of the Quaker History of Haddenham, set against a
background of village life, was completed by Walter Rose (village
carpenter and wood carver) in 1916 in a manuscript that, after
his death in 1960, came into the care of his daughter Elsie Rose.
It is reproduced just as Walter Rose wrote it more than 80 years
ago and
gives an insight into the religious and social background of one
of Haddenham's important Quaker families
This book includes:
* part of the family tree of the Rose Family of Haddenham from
1546 to 1980s
* extracts from the Haddenham Quaker meetings 1660 -1870
* a separate map entitled "Parish of Haddenham 1825"
which depicts the details of Haddenham village and its fields as
they were before the Enclosure
There are only a very limited number of copies of this book
available and once sold the book will not be reprinted. Orders
can be sent with a cheque for 8 pounds plus 1.50 postage and
packing to Alan Rose, 14 Stockwell, Haddenham, Aylesbury, Bucks
