A young Russian researcher, Alexandr Solomin, has always declared that
the Solomins were descended from the princely Monastyrev family on the Smolensk
branch. Without his Y-DNA test nobody would believe in this, since the Solomins
were completely forgotten in all historical and genealogic sources. The
Solomins are the first family in the world to have proved their Rurikid descent
