Cemeteries and History of Towns

I am, Dowie O. Ecroyd, the coordinator for the Stone County Cemetery Web Page. My brother, Colone Roosevelt Ecroyd of McHenry, Mississippi and I, who live in Hooks, Texas, but was born in Greene County and raised in Stone County, went looking for information on our grandfather George Edmund Ecroyd who disappeared around 1914, Uncle Reddic Henry Ecroyd who disappeared around 1921, from our father's line and any and all BONDs and BRELANDs from our mother's line in Stone (Harrison) County.

In researching the Cemeteries, we thought how it would help many individuals if all the Cemeteries were transcribed so that a person would only have to go to their computer to find where there people may be buried in Stone County. We did not know how many cemeteries there are in Stone County (67 at last count, with more being found every month). We have received many compliments from individuals regarding the Web Page and our work.

I have about 20 Cemeteries that I have not had time to type yet, but will get them as fast as possible. If anyone would like to type up the ones that I have not got to yet, let me know.
