Matilda Elizabeth Sharp Matilda Sharp was the third child and oldest daughter of Lafayette and Mattie. She was born on May 14, 1870 in Leake County, Mississippi. On November 25, 1885 Matilda married Jasper Newton Gomillion in Scott County, Mississippi. Matilda and Jasper lived their entire lives in Leake County.
