This is "Hull House" an inn of the 1800s that was an underground railroad stop in Holland, Ohio.
This was built by Nance's Great-Grandfather, John Allen Fowler in 1905 on
Hall Street. The southern part of the village which was south of the railroad was the original village and in the beginning was called
"Hardy." Note the black mortar between each cement block that Grandpa used. Lawrence
Nachtrab told Nance that this was considered very unique.
As a consequence, the home was visited by many builders of cement block homes.
