According to a Bible record posted on the Jasper County, GA Genweb Archives, John married Hariett RAKESTRAW, though no date was given for their marriage. I have no further information on them. John also married Mary Ann LANE. They were married in Jasper County, GA on 20 Dec 1857. By the early 1870's John and Mary Ann had moved to Morgan, Bosque County, TX along with several other family members. They had at least two children together. John was a sheep farmer, as were others who lived in that area at that time.
