Immigration: Ireland to America/Cecil County, Maryland [with cousin Nathaniel]


"Joshua's oldest (half) brother Nathaniel brought the family over from Londonderry, Ire. in 1727. Nathaniel married Rachel Porter in 1723 (his cousin) . She had a brother James Porter, and/or John Porter. Found both names. Joshua died in Cecil Co. Md. 8-9-1753. Will probated 8-16-1753.
Margaret E Fyfe of Atlanta, Ga. (a researcher) says Joshua married Jane Patton daughter of Robert Patton who died in Sadsbury Twp. LancerterCo. Pa. in 1745. Says someone entered name Gillespie when they edited the manuscript in 1897 (of Co. Wm. A. Ewing) . She also says that William (Joshus's father) did not mary Eliza Milford but that another William did."
