My father, Joseph Charles Wilson,

was christened in St.Patrick's Church Clogherny Armagh in Beragh on June 16, 1907. His sister, Ethel, was also christened in the same church on September 5, 1903. He also had a brother, William Henry Wilson, b. September 7, 1902 and d. October 10, 1902. My father also had either one or two other brothers one of which was named John, b. July 15, 1901, who apparently was killed in an accident. One other person was a William Wilson who my father always said was a brother but from what I hear he was only an acquaintance that my grandmother took in.
My grandfather's name was Joseph C. Wilson who married Eliza Ford. My grandfather apparently died when my father was seven years old. I have no information about my grandmother.
There is a Jane Wilson buried at this same churchyard and she died March 26, 1900 at the age of 47 years. I do not know if she was any relation or not.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Bill of sale by Daniel Oval (Abel, Auvil) in Randolph Co., Va. in 1809 with regard to transferring property acquired from his wife (and her deceased former husband) with regard to guardianship and care of two minor children, a son and daughter of Heinrich Cox and Margaretha Hochwaerter.

Brick Wall: James Wilsonwas b. 1767 in VA according to census records.

One grandson states in his bibile that James was b. in Jackson Co. TN...but as TN was not a state at that time..and James lived near the Jackson River in Bath Co. VA where there was a "Wilson Settlement...one wonders. Some speculate that he was born in an area that was VA/NC and became TN.-- the Watuga/Franklin area. There is a marriage bond in the Bath Co. courthouse for the marriage of James Wilson and Sarah Mounts, 1795. By 1811, James and Sarah were buying land in what is now Wayne Co. WV. They had 13 children and remained in the Wayne Co. area until they passed on.
