This is my g-g-g-great grandfather John Wilson. What I know about him.......

He was born 11-16-1793 place unknown and died 10-13-1844 in Manchester, Scott Co., Illinois. His wife's name may have been Sarah, but this is unsure. He had at least two children. 1). Sarah Wilson b. 1814 who married Rollen Caddwell. She died 5-22-1863 in Manchester, Illinois. 2) Richard B. Wilson b. 1819, Ky. and who married Keziah Tunnell in Morgan Co., Illinois on 8-18-1836. Richard died in Manchester, Illinois in 1892 John signed a letter of consent for his son Richard to marry Keziah and it appears a family member of Keziah's (David Tunnell) preformed the ceremony. Proceeding John's signature on the consent form the city Jacksonville (hand written and hard to make out) appears. I believe this is where John's family was living in Aug. of 1836 although I haven't found any documentation as yet.
I descend from Richard B. Wilson and have uncovered a great deal of information on the family which appears to have worked as farmers in the same location. I have census, birth and death information showing the family of Richard B. Wilson living in Manchester, Illinois from 1838-1902 when his wife Keziah passed and their son Lewis sold the farm. I have nothing more on John, would like to know where in Kentucky they were from, who his wife was, if they had any other children and who John's parents were.
If this sounds familiar to any one please contact me at: jhall@voyager.net
I would be happy to share what I have found which includes some family photos of John's grandson George L. Wilson and tombstone photos of the family plots in Manchester.

James Wilson is my maternal great- grandfather married Mary Pryor.

I believe that they were in Kent Co. DE in 1879 because my grandfather William Peter Wilson was born in Blackiston Crossroads, Kent Co DE January 26, 1879. I haven't been able to find anything in the census, bibles or other sites about them. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Tradition says that there was also another son born to them - John Pryor Wilson - nothing else is known about him. Thanks.

It is believed by some cousins that John "Old Burgess" Wilson was some relationship as he had land dealings with the Chinns and Powells in the Northern Neck of Virginia. I need to find John's parents which could be another brick wall / dead end, but it could also lead me to all the Wilson information I see constantly in the 1600's and 1700's. Thank you in advance for ANY HELP. Janean  JRay38@neo.rr.com

I have a JOHN H. WILSON  b 7-10-1835,

in Tennessee, d 10-6-1901, m MARY ? d 1917 They are both buried in Fairy Cemetery Hamilton County Texas.  They moved to Texas from Murray County Georgia about 1886.  I  only know of one
child, JAMES WILLIAM (Big Jim)  who was born in Tennessee August 1858.
I have not proved any of this. Big John was my husband's grandfather.  He
left his wife and ran off with another lady.  I have not found him and I
know nothing more of JOHN and MARY.  I have however seen their graves.  the
dates of their deaths was taken from their tombstones.
