Looking for parents of Absolem Wilson

Absolem Wilson was born 1803-1805 in VA and died 18 Feb 1882 in Coulterville, Randolph County, IL. In
1846, he married Mary Ann Hood in Perry County, IL.
His children include Margaret A. (b. abt 1845), Samuel (b. abt 1847), William Hood Wilson (b. 16 Oct 1849), and Crotia (b. abt 1867). William Hood Wilson is my gg-grandfather.

The 1880 census indicates that Absolem's parents came from NC.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Sarah Wilson (Willson) of Augusta County, Virginia

is by family legend (i.e. accuracy uncertain) my 4G-Grandmother. She was purportedly married to my 4G-Grandfather John Roseman. There is a record of John Roseman and his wife Sarah selling their land in Augusta County (actually right across the county line in Rockbridge Co) in 1865 at which time they moved on to the Old 96 District of SC. According to a cousin there was a newspaper article in a SC paper ca. 1773 saying that Sarah had gone back to Augusta County temporarily because of the death of her father Thomas Willson. Also, one of John and Sarah's daughters, Jean Rosamond, makes a reference in her will to her cousin Mathew Wilson. However, I have found no proof that John's wife's maiden name was Wilson. I do know they were members of the New Providence Presbyterian Church on Moffett Creek as a new book on the history of that church mentions John as a founding member. Any help with verifying this relationship, John and Sarah's marriage, the birth dates of their children (Samuel, James, Margaret, Jean and Sarah) will be greatly appreciated.
