    Thomas Light made his will Jan. 6, 1520, proved Jan. 30, 1520, and requested burial in the church of St. Awdrey, in Horley, and as nearly the whole Christian world was Roman Catholic at that time, his will is filled with gifts to that church, and wishes a priest singing in the church for him for two years. He states that he bought in London a great marble stone to "lie upon me and my wife after our decease and therin to be graven, I and my wife, in brass, with all our children."
