Transferred to Elmira, New York, 18 August 1864  Paroled at Elmira, 11 October 1864 and transferred for exchange; however, he died at Fort Monroe, Virginia,  1 November 1864. Cause of death not reported.

1 January 1863, Present or accounted for until he died "at home" on, 29 October 1863. Cause of death not reported.

Resided in Buncombe County where he enlisted at age 23, 1 March 1862, for the war.   Present or accounted for until captured at Falling Waters, Maryland, 14 July 1863.  Confined at Baltimore, Maryland, until transferred to Point Lookout, Maryland, paroled and transferred for exchange on
3 March 1864, Failed to rejoin the company and was listed as a deserter on 1 June 1864, Returned to duty 1 January 1865, Present or accounted for until paroled at Appomattox Court House, Virginia, 9 April 1865.

Resided in Buncombe County where he enlisted at age 28, 1 March 1862 for the war.
Mustered in as Sergeant. Present or accounted for until he died at Petersburg, Virginia
24 October 1862, of " continued  fever. "

Resided in Buncombe County where he enlisted at age 26, 1 March 1862, for the war.   Present or accounted for until captured at Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, 3 July 1863. Confined at Fort Delaware, Delaware, until transferred to Point Lookout, Maryland 15 October 1863. Paroled and transferred for exchange on  3 May 1864. Returned to duty  July 1864 Present or accounted for until he deserted to the enemy on 9 March 1865. Released  13 March 1865 after taking the Oath of Allegiance.

Henderson, Ezekiel      Private
Resided in Buncombe County where he enlisted at age 30,  27 April 1863, for the war.   Present or accounted for until wounded and captured at Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, 3 July 1863. Hospitalized at Gettysburg until transferred to David's Island, New York Harbor, 17 July 1863. Paroled and transferred for exchange on  8 September 1863, Present or accounted for until wounded in the left thigh and captured at Burgess' Mill,  Virginia, 27 October 1864. Hospitalized at Baltimore, Maryland, until transferred to Point Lookout, Maryland 28 January 1865. Died at Point Lookout 28 April 1865 of "chronic diarrhoea."

Howard, Anderson Z.     Private
Previously served in Company E, 1st Regiment NC Infantry (6 Months 1861). Enlisted in this company 1 March 1862 for the war. Present or accounted for until he died in hospital at Charlottesville, Virginia 29 January 1864, of  "typhoid fever."

Johnston, John Franklin       Private
Enlisted at Camp Vance on 4 April 1864 for the war. Present or accounted for until reported absent wounded July 1864, Place and date wounded not reported. Died in hospital at Richmond, Virginia, 26 September 1864, of  "gangrene."

Resided in McDowell County where he enlisted at age 22,  15 April 1862, for the war.   Present or accounted for  until he deserted on 23 December 1862, Returned to duty on 10 December 1863 and reported in confinement until he died in hospital at Salisbury on  20 December 1864 of "pneumonia."
