My name is Lenda, not a common spelling but the way mom spelled it never the less. I was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. I now live in a very small town in Arkansas, I refer to this town as a one horse town driven by a mule. I am married to a wonderful man name Brian and we have five children.
Steven 17 years old who has decided to follow in his Neal family ways and is joining the Navy next year. Steven has a full active life he is in JROTC and a member of the drill team. He also has a part time job in the evening at a local Doctors Office.
Jonathan 10 likes to ride bikes, watch ice hockey with dad and can not wait to join a gymnastics team.
David 6 enjoys riding bikes and swimming.
Tiffany 4 enjoys being daddy little girl and dancing.
Sarah 5/12 just a wonderful baby. Nickname Peanut because she is so little.
My husband and I are over the road truck drivers. We are employed by the same company but drive different trucks.
About ten years old my mother wanted to know more about her family and that is how the genealogy got driven in my blood.
Where do I find the time for this page. Well I guess I just make time. The more researcher send me the better this page is going to be. My family helps a lot, we just do it.

Her Father was Willie James Neal b. 1912 in Arkansas
His Father was James William Neal b. 1860 in Arkansas
His Father was William Meredith Neal b. 1838 in Tennessee
His Father was William David Neal b. 1807 in Tennessee
His Father was James D. Neal b. 1785 in North Carolina
This page, well I just thought that I had a ton of Neal information that I have collected. And it is all over my house just might be able to help someone else. So I asked rootsweb for some space and they gave it to me. So me and my family started posting the information and then putting it in boxes so I could put it away.
My goal for this site, to list as much information as I can for the Neal Family. With the hopes that we can place a few more people. If one out of three people can find just one thing that links to their family I will be happy.
Most offen asked question is the American Indian questions, things like I have heard the Neal family was Indian. I am not real sure about the Neals I have not made that link pass anything listed here.
James William Neal married 3rd to Nora Lavinia Evans. Nora Evans Neal by records was 3/4 Chickasaw Indian. Their son my Grandfather Willie James Neal married Sarah Juanita White. Now Sarah's family is Chickumunga Cheerokee on her father side and Chickasaw on her mother side. All of this is proven. Other then that I do not know much more.
