Welcome
The information contained on these pages is from a working genealogy, I am constantly adding and investigating more connections to the 25,000 plus names in my database. Please use what you need, but remember that any information can be wrong. People make mistakes, and unless you use primary sources anything you find may be less than accurate. I have been involved in genealogy for the almost 20 years and am a member of The Ct Society of Genealogists. The content of these pages is from vital records in city and town halls, old published genealogies and information available at Dept of Health, Vital Records after 1897, the Ct Historical Society, the Ct State Library, History & Genealogy Section, town halls state wide and The Ct Society of Genealogists. Some good leads have also been found through the LDS's FHC on-line database, Prodigy's OLD Genealogy BB and Chat has also been a great deal of help. Please note, links to pages off this site will open in new windows.
If you are going to be researching in Connecticut, the State of Connecticut requires you to be a member of a recognized Genealogical Society to be allowed access to most records less than 100 years old, held in Town Halls in Connecticut. Town Halls are the holders of ALL ORIGINAL RECORDS, with copies after 1897, sent to CT Vital Records. This link has all societies recognized by the State of CT. If you belong to one of these you will be allowed to search all vital records in Ct town halls. You can also bring a copy of the STATUTE, as proof of your rights. Most town clerks are more than willing to help, but just in case it's nice to have proof of your rights in your hand. ![]() We are honored to receive, THE GENEALOGICAL GLEANERS AWARD Click on the award for the links to all their winners. |
