William Moody appears numerous times in the official records of Chatham and Randolph counties in North Carolina between 1780 and until his death in 1818. His descendants make up most, if not all, of the Moody families of record in those two counties for the first half of the 19th Century (1800-1850) and beyond.
This page has been created to share information, speculation, and questions about members of this extended family who lived in these counties and who migrated to other parts of North Carolina and other states. Moody researchers are invited to confirm, challenge, correct, or discuss data related to these families.
