We actually know very little about Theron's family at this
time. According to funeral home records, his father's name was William.
See how William is connected to the Hoadley family
in the Trowbridge book.
We have some probate records of a Loura May
Hoadley, minor child of William Hoadley , dated October 1890 [Calendar
book 1, page 101, Box 104 Monroe County Courthouse, Albia IA. ]
Petitioner, Isaac Thompson, represents that Louie May
Hoadley, 12, minor heir of William Hoadley, deceased, has property in
this state consisting of a claim for pension due from the US government
on account of military service performed by said William Hoadley in the
war of the late rebellion.
The petitioner asks the court appoint Samuel Williams
guardian of said minor heirs. Witnesses, Samuel William, Isaac Thompson
(his mark) & John W. H. Griffin, Oct 1, 1890.
State of Iowa, Monroe Co.; I, Olive Thompson, of said
county, chose to have Samie Williams appointed guardian of my sister,

lived with me during the past five years. Witness my hand this 29th day

Calendar of Guardians: William Hoadley, decedent; ward
Louie May Hoadley, 12, son; Monroe Co. , Iowa. Samuel Williams,

[I'm not positive that this is our William's daughter.
Could be the jr. Wm's dau? Have sent for civil war pension on William
Hoadley. Maybe they will have answers.]

woman named Frances Robinson. In my research I did find a Frances
Robinson b 15 Oct 1903 in Albia IA. Kenneth said that Frances was a

Mary and Ed would come to Iowa in the summer for a
visit and take Mom and the other kids to town for ice cream. They sent
presents at Christmas. Mom spent some time with them in Michigan one
summer. They had a nice house and Aunt Mary was very picky about keeping
it clean. She knew right away if you didn't vaccuum like you were told.
One of Mom's first boyfriends was one of Mary and Ed's neighbors.
In a conversation with Kenneth Goudy, he told me that
when his Grandmother died, he got a bib le and a photo of Theron
Hoadley's mother and she was clearly Native American. Mary talked him
into giving her the bible and photo, promising to return it some day but
never did. I ask ed Mary's niece about it and she says she never saw a
bible or the photo and doesn't know what would have happened to them.
