CHURCH OF NEW BRITIAN, CONNECTICUT

FIRST CHURCH IN
NEW BRITIAN, CONNECTICUT

This web site is composed of scanned images from a book titled

GENEALOGY and ECCLESIASTICAL HISTORY

written by Alfred Andrews and published by him in 1867.
Printed by Case, Lockwood and Company, Hartford, Conn.

And now a few words from your sponsor.
The images on these pages can be very slow loading. I had to make a choice between slow loading pages and readable ones for those who wished to make copies.
The Membership section lists 1465 church members, as well as spouses,
children and, frequently, spouse's parents and children's spouses.
Please, check both indexes because there are different names in each as well as some people listed in both.
I have found references to the same person in each index with different page numbers.
It seems to me that there are very few women indexed for the first 124 pages.
There are lots of women mentioned so you might want to do some reading.

The site is arranged as follows:

This web site is dedicated to two very important people.
First, Glo, the daughter-in-law who decided she wanted to trace her husband's/my son's lineage.
She cajoled, coerced, begged, bullied, hassled and, I must admit, she even whined at times, until I broke down and
became "hooked on genealogy".  Thank you, Glo.
Second, Pat, the daughter who owns this book, loaned it to me, and refuses to let me donate it to the FHC or a genealogical society because,
"It belonged to Granddad!"

Questions or comments?
Please, let me know what you think.
Thank you.
Stella
