ABOUT THE MAILING LIST
A mailing list is simply a discussion group that uses
e-mail on the Internet. It allows users to place themselves on electronic
mailing lists. The Sholar mailing list is hosted by RootsWeb Cooperative and
is "maintained" by Nancy Gay Crawford. RootsWeb automatically
distributes an e-mail message from one member of our list to all other
members who are subscribed. This is a free service run by volunteers. The
purpose of the Sholar mailing list is simply to promote discussion and
communication about Sholar family history. If you have any Family stories to
share, please do so on the Sholar List! Working together, subscribers compile
thousands of records for others to browse -- including cemetery, birth,
census, tax, marriages, etc. As a subscriber this is your list, so -- Use it! The
Sholar List is an unmoderated list which means that all messages are
forwarded automatically to everyone on the list without any intervention on
my part). It is intended to be appropriate for family viewing. When you send
e-mail to the Sholar List, everyone on the list will receive it. Keep your
