My Grandmother Floye Lee (Smith) Connally from Quitman, Wood County, Texas. Her parents were Thomas (Tom) Grant Smith from Alabama, then Texas and Edna Lee from Arkansas, then Texas. She had twelve, silbings Annie, Ethel, Kurby, Bettie, Roy, Ramon, and Belle. She married Willis Moore Connally, November 27, 1916, Upshur County, Texas. Floye and Willis had three children,
I know little about the Smith and Lee family. This is the only picture I have of my grandparents, Mama Connally, Grandfather Willis, and Uncle Glen. For whatever reason, Mama Connally didn't want to be called Grandma, so we all called her Mama. I have different spellings of Mama first name, Floye from my baby book and family bible, Floys from the Martin County birth page.
Uncle Glen, Grandma Floye, and Grandpa Willis

Ethel may have been married for 70 years, may have married into the Massingill family. This marriage fact is from Aunt Geneva, stating it was in the Gilmer newspaper. Not the family name Massingill!!
Ramon may have been known as Clem or Clyde, die 1970's just south of Dallas(???)
Belle who was Mama Connally's sister and who had the same birthday as Mamie. it was a joke because Mamie called her "Aunt" even though they had the same birthday,(September 18, 1919).
